A portrait of Wisconsinites’ opinions on policy issues that will inform their choices in the 2022 elections
The La Follette Policy Poll is a survey of public opinion in Wisconsin about state and national policy issues. Conducted by researchers at the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s La Follette School of Public Affairs, the poll asked 5,000 state residents about the issues that matter to them most and the problems they most want solved. The poll results shed light on both consensus and divisions in the Badger State, pointing to issues that political parties and candidates ought to be talking about most during 2022.
Because it is representative of the state as a whole, and because it focuses on persistent Wisconsin attitudes rather than attempting to capture a political snapshot, the results provide a revealing portrait of public opinion in a state that could affect the national balance of power this November.
The La Follette Policy Poll was made possible by funding through the Kohl Initiative.
