As the United States faces its most serious challenges in recent history, UW–Madison’s La Follette School of Public Affairs is offering a series of livestreamed events leading up to the Nov. 3 election.
Election 2020: A Spotlight on Policy begins Sept. 30 with a Town Hall panel discussion on the social impacts of COVID-19 and concludes Oct. 29 with a presentation by Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter Maggie Haberman of The New York Times. Haberman’s visit is funded by the Kohl Initiative.
A second Town Hall on Oct. 12 focuses on foreign relations, trade, and policy; and on Oct. 2, the La Follette School partners with Wispolitics.com for a panel discussion on the major issues facing Wisconsin voters this fall. The Town Hall discussions are a collaboration of the Wisconsin Alumni Association and La Follette School.
The three panel discussions feature La Follette School faculty members, who will offer evidence-based insights on society’s pressing problems. La Follette School Director Susan Webb Yackee, a professor of public affairs and political science, will moderate the two Town Halls.
All events are free, but registration is required for access to the livestream. Registration links coming soon!
