Bonnie MacRitchie joins staff as senior outreach specialist

The La Follette School welcomed Bonnie MacRitchie as a senior outreach specialist in late August. MacRitchie will help develop and implement the School’s outreach activities and events for policymakers, partners, and the public. Her projects include the Family Impact Seminars, Committee Connect, conferences, and symposia.

“Bonnie’s experience with leading statewide initiatives and in building trusting relationships with policymakers and partners is a great fit for this position. She also has a passion for evidence-informed policy,” said Heidi Normandin, the La Follette School’s Director of Legislative Outreach. “She will bring a fresh perspective to our outreach and communication efforts, and we’re excited that she joined our team.”

Before joining the La Follette School, MacRitchie led the Wisconsin Trauma Project at the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families for six years. She also worked for the Wisconsin Supreme Court, for several nonprofits, and at the Wisconsin State Capitol. She earned her bachelor’s degree in political science and legal studies from UW–Madison and her master’s degree in public service management from DePaul University.

This new position was made possible because of generous support from the UW–Madison Chancellor’s Office and the Kohl Initiative.
